A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
Having been born and raised in a small town named, Gampola in Sri Lanka,
I have always been fascinated by Christmas stories specially written for children. At a younger age I read a lot, but writing
was never one of my main interests, as I was too busy playing “Cricket“.
The inspiration for this story came, on a snowy Christmas day, when I saw
a Snow Man out side my window in Giessen, Germany, where I was Stationed by the United States Army during my first three years
of service. I took that memory along with me on a Deployment to Iraq and I gradually build this story during the short brakes
I got between missions.
This story was written keeping all Christmas traditions intact, The Snow,
The Rain deer, The Christmas Tree and Santa, all are part of this wonderful tale. My message through this story for the little
ones is, that helping, and making others happy, during a festive season is the spirit of the festivity.
